Chicken sandwich is very easy to prepare at home and there are so many variations of sandwiches. There are innumerable type of chicken sandwiches you can prepare at home and they are so quick and easy to make . Going forward I will share quite a few sandwich recipes . But here is a one which many of you must have had in a sandwich shop but prepare at home and see how close it tastes like the one you ate out.
Last weekend we went down to Subway for lunch. We love the fresh sandwiches there and the choice we have to order with ingredients of our liking. Inspired by the great sandwich we had, I went on to try the following sandwich recipe at home , and surprisingly it tasted great and was so easy to prepare . So thought of sharing it here.
How long does it take to prepare this chicken sandwich ?
- Preparation time - 15 minutes
- Cooking time - 10 minutes
- and, it serves - 2
The ingredients you require to prepare this sandwich recipe are below . I would rather call this chicken sandwich as chicken in bread loaf.
- Chicken (boneless) - 10-12 medium size pieces
- Bread - 1 bread loaf (cut it into half for two), assuming the loafs are pretty long
- All in one sauce ** - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- White oil - 1 teaspoon
- Tomato - 1 medium
- Onion - 1 small
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- Cheese slices - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 4 tablespoon
- Salami - 4 slices. Try the salami of your choice. I tried chicken salami. I am sure trying out various salamis will add an added flavor and taste of your liking.
Here is the method to prepare this chicken sandwich recipe :
- Marinate the boneless chicken pieces with ‘All in one sauce’ for 1 hour.
- Heat the frying pan with 1 teaspoon white oil and add chicken.
- Add one-fourth teaspoon salt and cook the chicken for a few minutes.
- Cut the onion and tomato in circular slices.
- Slit the bread loaf from the middle by the sides.
- Put the layer of salamis (2 in each sandwich), cheese (i slice in each, cut in triangular shape from the corner), tomatoes, onions, lettuce and chicken pieces in the bread loafs.
- Add about 2 tablespoon mayonnaise onto each sandwiches. Add black pepper.
**Note: If All in one sauce is not available with you, you may boil the chicken instead of marinating it.
