Ginger Tea | Adrak Wali Chai

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/4 inch ginger

  • 1 pod green cardamom

  • Small piece of cinnamon (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp saunf

  • 1 1/2 tsp tea leaves

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tsp sugar

Steps:

  1. In a saucepan, add 1 cup of water, 1/4 inch ginger, 1 pod cardamom, a small piece of cinnamon (optional), and 1/2 tsp saunf.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil on high flame.

  3. Add 1 1/2 tsp tea leaves and boil for 3-4 minutes, until the mixture is reduced to half a cup.

  4. Add 1/2 cup milk and 1 tsp sugar.

  5. Boil the mixture for 2-3 minutes on low flame, being careful not to over boil.

  6. Strain the tea using a tea strainer.

  7. Serve and enjoy your Adrak wali chai with your favorite snacks.
